Humane by Greg Calise

Humane is having the qualities befitting a human being. The dictionary meaning is having or showing compassion or benevolence. Its many synonyms are compassionate, kind, considerate, understanding, sympathetic, tolerant; lenient, forbearing, forgiving, merciful, mild, gentle, tender, clement, benign, humanitarian, benevolent, charitable; caring, solicitous; warmhearted, tenderhearted, softhearted,

These are the qualities of a human being. Just because one may be inhabiting a human body does not necessarily mean that one is a human being. In fact, we live in a world where many people are not actually human beings. They have become worse than animals.

Many religions and sciences proclaim that mankind is inherently evil, and he must strive to evolve into a humane person with good qualities. They call it original sin, primitive, uncivilized, base, etc..

This is not true. We are inherently good and humane. We become conditioned to be inhuman. Some of that conditioning is brought into this life from previous lives and from the collective human consciousness. But if you look at a baby and you can see that we are basically born into innocence. Evil tendencies are learned, not only from the past, but mostly from the present life. We become conditioned by our parents and family, society, religion, education, culture, etc. If our teachers in life are lacking all good qualities, then we will become like them. It is from bad conditioning that we must strive to evolve to become humane, to possess good qualities.

Our innate nature is to be humane. It is our societies and religions that make us evil. Hatred and bigotry are learned.

Science and history teach us that we are becoming more civilized, and that primitive man was very violent, that these violent tendencies are inherent since the beginning of time.

“…………’s academics and laymen believe that, in the past, man was primitive and irrational. They believe, and have been well taught to believe, that modern man is moving toward greater understanding about himself and the world as time progresses. Give us time, they say. Wait and watch. Tomorrow a perfect world will come into being – bright, clean, safe, just, and indestructible.”
– Michael Tsarion

This also is not true. If one was to do proper research into the matter, one would see that mankind possessed many virtues in bygone eras.

“The elders and shaman make no bones about it. In their estimation man has fallen from a great height and lost his way morally and spiritually. The world’s many myths and legends even go so far as to tell us why man became disconnected and unsane. They preserve information that speaks of terrible celestial and terrestrial cataclysms that devastated the Earth and shook the consciousness of human beings to its foundations.”
– Michael Tsarion

“Man is perfect at his origin, a divine being who has degenerated into what we are”
– R. A. Schwaller de Lubicz (Egyptian Miracle)

“…primeval man was the truest model and representative of man, and that all human progress since, though upward in some things, has been in the main an unceasing deterioration…All the world that came next after primeval man honored and even worshipped their first fathers as very gods of light, knowledge and greatness”
– Joseph A. Seiss (Gospel of the Stars)

The Vedas and Puranas tell us that mankind has been degenerating over the course of 26,000 years, as we move through the cycles of the yugas. We have (hopefully) reached the end of it. Hopefully, this is as dense as it gets before ending. Then comes a time period when humanity regains its naturally inherent humane qualities. The lower qualities will begin falling away as people wake up to the truth.

This is the nature of cycles, as they spin through polarities. We have been born into a world that has been progressively becoming more evil, more dense. We have seen humane qualities and virtues disappear. That energy can no longer find a foundation in the new energies, so they should begin collapsing, hopefully without too much resistance.

As people awaken, they automatically are humane. Virtues will once again flower in the consciousness of humanity.
